About the plant: Thyme loves a lot of sun, stony soil and is mainly found as a wild plant around the Mediterranean. Thyme has been cultivated in monastery gardens for centuries because of its diverse healing properties.
The herb contains a very large proportion of linalool and is therefore a very mild thyme. It smells delicate, almost slightly flowery and is also often used for children.
In naturopathy, thyme is used for colds, muscle and joint complaints, as well as to promote digestion. Also popular for oral hygiene.
It facilitates expectoration, loosens phlegm and is very suitable for various colds and sinus infections. In addition, thyme is also used against blemishes and skin prone to acne. It also helps with infected wounds, inflammation of the urinary tract and vaginal fungus.
In the case of mental exhaustion and weakness, thyme oil promotes and stimulates the ability to think and can especially help people who lack mental clarity.
